I have a life long interest in most aspects of the paranormal

and have read extensively on many topics for forty plus years.

While I do not consider myself as possessing exceptional abilities

In my youth there were things I still am not able to explain, small things

like the ability to most always tell my mother the phone was about to ring

moments before it would.   My goal and intention for

Heartland Indiana Paranormal Investigations is to provide a free service

to those within our area. To investigate possible Paranormal activity and seek to

identify possible natural causes for said activity and attempt to document

by scientific means any activity that an explanation cannot be disproved.

Name :  Brenda Lee Cooprider Age : 21

College :  Junior, Criminology Major

 What got me interested in the paranormal :

             When I was younger, my grandmother passed away.  We were really close, and I was very distraught by the whole event.  One night my mom tucked me into bed and said good night, a few minutes later she heard me talking and came into my room.  I had a glass of water and was sitting us in my bed.  She asked me who I was talking to and when I had gotten the water, because she never heard me get up out if bed.  I told her that I was talking to grandma and that she had gotten the water for me.  But mom never did see her sitting at the end of my bed.

            After that I was just always aware of “people” around me.  I have lived in a haunted  house where the elderly man that lived there before hung himself because his wife of 50 some years died of cancer.  He was a gentle man, he never caused any trouble, I just knew he was there, and I would see him out of the corner of my eye.  My mom got tired of me telling her that the house was haunted so she asked Mrs. Next Door who had lived there before we moved in, and she told us about the elderly couple.  After that the man was quiet, and he hardly ever came around.  When I was home alone I would feel safe because he was there.

            So, I guess that I’m just really curious about afterlife and the paranormal.  I want to learn all I can about why and how this happens.  I want to help people come to terms with whatever is going on, and/or I want to help disprove that something is going on and help people be at rest knowing that there is no paranormal activity where they are.

Ever since I was little I have been interested in the after-life and other such things. When I was very small I was at my grandmother's house and I was visited by a young looking girl up in my grandmother's attic. Of course it scared me senseless since I was only around 7 years old, but ever since I have wanted to learn more and more. Thought I am not one to jus look at a place and say its haunted I have to see hard proof.
